Housing Summer Maintenance

The College of Charleston (CofC) issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for general maintenance work at various Student Housing buildings across campus. The contract was awarded to Gilbane Building Company for a total potential value of $1,280,244.00. The initial contract term is from May 6, 2024, to August 12, 2024, with a maximum contract period of May 5, 2024, to August 11, 2027. The scope of work includes providing maintenance technicians, maintenance workers, and supervisors for summer housing maintenance. • The contract requires the vendor to provide a full-time superintendent to monitor and coordinate an eight-person crew. • The vendor must provide necessary tools for work to be done per the scope of work. • The vendor's work schedule must be flexible to accommodate summer occupancy schedules. • The vendor's employees must wear a shirt with their company logo. • The vendor must provide background check reports and drug testing reports for each employee hired to work at CofC. • The vendor must provide enough workers with skills to support the requirements of the attached Scope of Work.
