Object Storage

The University of Florida (UF) is seeking a complete object storage solution, including hardware, software, support, installation, and professional services. The contract is for an initial term of 5 years, with an option to renew for up to two additional one-year periods. The vendor that was awarded the contract is CDW Government LLC in partnership with VAST Data. The contract includes a statement of work for the installation and configuration of the solution, as well as ongoing maintenance services. Some key features of the contract include: * A highly available and redundant system across two on-premises datacenters, with 99.99% uptime * A scaled lab environment for testing of software upgrades, changes, replication, and failover * Support for an initial workload of 80% write and 20% read operations, with the possibility of future expansions requiring a higher percentage of read operations * A separate professional services statement of work for the vendor to perform the complete installation * Pricing for the initial 5-year period, with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year periods at a price increase not to exceed 3% or the corresponding increase in the CPI.
