Description
The County of San Luis Obispo is seeking a contractor to provide inmate transportation services. The contractor will be responsible for transporting inmates from and to locations designated by the County, and must comply with all state and federal requirements. The services include interstate and in-state transportation of inmates. Key aspects of the contract include:
• Compliance with the Interstate Transportation of Dangerous Criminals Act of 2000
• Compliance with the Passenger Charters' Act (Cal. Pub. Util. Code § 5384. et Seq.)
• Assuming custody of inmates and providing security and control in accordance with state and federal requirements.
