Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified janitorial contractor to provide comprehensive cleaning services for multiple municipal facilities and the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization. Services are required twice per week at each site and include daily cleaning, monthly “high‑dust” and “high‑glass” tasks, and quarterly deep‑cleaning activities. The contractor must supply all cleaning equipment and green‑product supplies (except paper products, toilet paper, hand soap, and trash‑can liners provided by the City), perform work after 5 PM on weekdays, pass background checks for all staff, and comply with MBE/WBE subcontracting goals. The contract runs until June 30 2025 with the possibility of two one‑year extensions and awards will be evaluated on technical competence (30 pts), approach (30 pts), and cost (40 pts).
• 2‑visits/week at 8 City‑owned locations (approx. 5,000 sf each).
• Detailed custodial tasks covering offices, restrooms, kitchens, fitness rooms, conference rooms, and high‑touch surfaces.
• Contractor must use environmentally‑friendly cleaning products and maintain a uniformed, background‑checked workforce.
