Description
The Alabama Port Authority (APA) issued a one‑year, cost‑reimbursable service agreement for heavy‑mechanical, construction, and repair services covering all APA terminals and facilities. The contractor must provide 24/7 coverage, a broad range of skilled crafts (foremen, ironworkers, pipefitters, millwrights, electricians, etc.), and an extensive fleet of heavy equipment (cranes up to 165 t, aerial lifts, backhoes, generators, barge, etc.). Rates for straight‑time, overtime, and holiday work are fixed for the base year, with a possible CPI‑based adjustment on renewal. The contract includes stringent safety, insurance (CGL $3 M, RPL $2 M, Marine $1 M, etc.), and documentation requirements, and allows up to four optional one‑year renewals.
