Description
Hays County is seeking to develop a pool of consultants to provide construction, engineering, and inspection (CE&I) and testing services for various road improvement projects. The selected firms will be pre-qualified to provide services on an as-needed basis. The scope of services includes construction management, inspection, testing, and other associated services. The county intends to use this RFQ process to efficiently select qualified professionals.
Key services to be provided include:
• Providing all labor, equipment, tools, and incidentals to perform the services
• Providing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary
• Providing vehicles, mobile phones, and computer equipment to perform the services
• Online entry of documents into the county's document control system
• Assisting in the resolution of construction issues and conflicts
• Providing quality control and assurance oversight for the construction of the project
• Maintaining and retaining project files for the duration of the project
• Performing and reporting construction inspections of all operations related to structures, roadway, drainage, traffic, and maintenance of traffic
• Reviewing, monitoring, and recommending modifications to the contractor's maintenance of traffic/traffic control operations
• Facilitating project meetings to assess progress, schedule, and the quality of services being provided
