Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from qualified vendors to provide Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Home Medical Equipment (HME) services to eligible veterans. The services include delivery, setup, maintenance, and repair of DME/HME. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, facilities, pick-up, and delivery of VA-owned equipment. The contractor must meet Joint Commission standards or equivalent body for services provided under the contract.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Providing DME/HME services to eligible veterans in their homes or other designated points
• Meeting Joint Commission standards or equivalent body for services provided under the contract
• Providing emergency setup and management of DME/HME services
• Maintaining detailed records for each veteran of all items picked up and delivered
• Providing equipment functionality education, training, and instructions to each veteran/caregiver
