Description
The City of Long Beach is seeking qualified professional firms to provide on‑as‑needed classification and compensation study services for its municipal workforce. The work includes conducting job analyses, classification audits, salary and total‑compensation benchmarking, and delivering written reports and presentations to City officials. Multiple vendors may be awarded; contracts are initially for two years with up to three one‑year extensions, and no minimum work volume is guaranteed. Vendors must demonstrate at least three years of experience delivering similar public‑sector studies, submit narrative and cost proposals, and meet insurance, licensing, and certification requirements.
• Conduct classification reviews, position audits, and compensation studies on a case‑by‑case basis.
• Provide analytical reports, methodology documentation, and presentations to City HR staff.
• Maintain required certifications (Authorization & Certification, EBO, Local Preference) and insurance coverage.
