Description
The Alabama Department of Transportation (Mobile Area) is seeking a qualified contractor to provide routine HVAC maintenance and minor repair services for its facilities in the Mobile Area counties. The contract is a fixed‑price, multi‑year agreement with an initial 12‑month term and up to four optional 12‑month extensions. Bidders must submit percentage‑discount pricing, meet stringent insurance and licensing requirements, and be located within 100 mi of the primary ALDOT facility for the county they bid on. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder for each county.
• Scope includes routine maintenance, part replacement, minor leak repairs, belt changes, duct repairs, and other “minor” fixes—no new installations or major renovations (> $15,000).
• Mandatory compliance: Alabama Board of Heating, Air‑Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors certification, $1 M general liability/$500 k per occurrence insurance, workers’ compensation, E‑Verify, and two commercial references covering ≥ 3 years of similar work.
