The State of South Dakota is seeking an experienced electronic ticketing provider to manage all ticket sales, scanning, and on‑site support for the annual South Dakota State Fair and a series of non‑fair events. The contractor must deliver a full‑featured online ticketing platform, supply and maintain hardware (kiosks, scanners, printers, card readers, laptops, and credential printers), provide eight days of on‑site technical support during the fair, and generate daily sales and usage reports. Historical 2025 sales exceeded $2.3 million, indicating a sizable volume of tickets, camping reservations, and ancillary services that the vendor will process each year.
• Provide a cloud‑based ticketing system supporting grandstand, gate admission, camping, trailer parking, horse stalls, and other ancillary sales, with bar‑code generation and scanning capability.
• Supply and install all required hardware (≈34 handheld scanners, 13 gate laptops, 15 printers, 8 self‑service kiosks, credential printer, etc.) and deliver cellular hotspots where network coverage is lacking.
• Staff two technicians for a total of eight days (two days set‑up, six days fair operation) and handle post‑fair equipment pack‑up and shipping.
• Maintain an inventory of ≥10,000 tickets per color, manage payment processing integration with First Data, and produce daily sales reports plus data exports to Hive for marketing.
• Support additional non‑fair events (≈13 per year) with occasional on‑site hardware and sales support as needed.
