Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified medical‑physics provider to deliver comprehensive testing, quality‑assurance, certification, and consulting services for the San Francisco VA Health Care System and its satellite outpatient clinics (Santa Rosa, Eureka, Oakland). The contractor must perform on‑site inspections of all diagnostic imaging equipment, generate certification reports, respond to emergency radiation‑safety calls within 24 hours, and support the Radiation Safety Protection Program. All costs for equipment, travel, and software are borne by the contractor, and the contract is a firm‑fixed‑price IDIQ with a one‑year base period and two optional one‑year extensions.
• Perform annual and post‑repair testing of X‑ray, CT, PET/CT, SPECT/CT, MRI, DEXA, ultrasound, and dental imaging equipment.
• Produce certification reports for each inspection and maintain a QA program with annual reviews of CT protocols and equipment performance.
• Provide on‑site emergency response and consultation to the Radiation Safety Officer and Safety Committee, with a 24‑hour response requirement.
