Writing Coach Grade 6-8

The Bridgeton Public School District is seeking a Writing Coach to provide professional development for teachers and improve student writing outcomes in grades 6-8. The Writing Coach will work with the district to enhance writing instruction, provide coaching and support to teachers, and develop a coaching plan aligned with district curriculum and state standards. The coach will also provide 18 full-day in-school coaching sessions and submit coaching logs and reflection summaries to district leadership. Key responsibilities will include: • Strengthening instructional practices in writing • Improving student writing outcomes • Building teacher capacity for sustainable writing instruction • Aligning writing instruction with curriculum and equity goals The district is looking for a provider with experience in providing similar services, a strong understanding of writing instruction and curriculum development, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and administrators.
