Commission-Wide Towing and Recovery

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is seeking a contractor to provide commission-wide towing and recovery services. The contractor will be responsible for providing professional, reliable, and efficient towing and recovery services for all vehicle class types, including light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as heavy-duty equipment. The contractor must have at least three years of experience in towing and recovery services and must meet certain minimum qualifications, including having tow trucks available to tow based on the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and having standardized manufacturer's vehicles. The contract will be for a period of one year with two one-year option periods. • The contractor will be required to provide towing services on an as-needed basis, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • The contractor will be required to provide a list of full-time operators who are available to provide towing and recovery services 24/7. • The contractor will be required to provide proof of experience showing active work for the past three years. • The contractor will be required to submit a declaration that the company's wreckers are standardized manufacturer's vehicles, originally designed and built as a wrecker and not a modified truck.
