UNLV Transit Parking Garage Third Party Inspectors

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking a qualified independent third-party inspection and materials-testing firm to provide comprehensive inspection, observation, and testing services for the construction of a new six-level cast-in-place reinforced-concrete parking garage on the UNLV campus. The selected Consultant shall perform services in compliance with the 2018 International Building Code (IBC) and applicable Clark County Amendments, Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 625 and Chapter 341 (State Public Works Division requirements), ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, AWS, and ICC testing standards. The scope of work includes soils and earthwork testing, foundations and cast-in-place concrete, structural steel and welding, post-tensioning and reinforcing steel, masonry construction, waterproofing, fireproofing and coatings, and structural observation and documentation. The Consultant shall ensure all personnel comply with UNLV campus safety protocols and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. • Key services to be provided include: • Soils and earthwork testing • Foundations and cast-in-place concrete inspection • Structural steel and welding inspection • Post-tensioning and reinforcing steel inspection • Masonry construction inspection • Waterproofing, fireproofing and coatings inspection • Structural observation and documentation The anticipated construction duration for this six-level garage is approximately thirteen months.
