TOWING AND IMPOUND SERVICES CONTRACT

The City of National City is seeking qualified towing and impound service providers to support the Police Department and other city agencies. The contract will cover police‑directed towing, vehicle storage, and fee collection for a five‑year period with renewal options. Successful bidders must demonstrate compliance with California Highway Patrol standards, maintain a 24/7 storage yard within ten miles of City Hall, and meet a 20‑minute response time for tow calls. • Provide 24 hour, on‑call towing and impound services for police‑directed incidents across the city. • Operate a minimum 10,000 sq ft fenced storage facility within a 10‑mile radius of City Hall, open 24 / 7 for vehicle release. • Meet strict response‑time (≤ 20 min) and insurance requirements, and handle fee collection (Administrative Review and NVIR fees) and quarterly program‑fee payments.
