Description
The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center, Norfolk, is seeking a confocal microscope system to support the United States Naval Academy (USNA) Chemistry Department. The system must meet specific requirements, including having a motorized XY-stage, motorized Z-drive, joystick for manual control, and other features. The contractor must deliver the system within 120 days of the contract award and provide a price quote by the closing date of the RFQ. The Government intends to solicit and award the contract on a sole-source basis to Nikon Instruments Inc.
* Key features of the confocal microscope system:
* Motorized XY-stage and Z-drive
* Joystick for manual control
* DIC polarizer, DIC analyzer, magnification changer, and Bertrand lens
* Minimum of 3 distribution ports
* Modular design with upgradable components
* Capability for widefield fluorescence imaging and high-resolution sCMOS camera
* Objective covering range of magnification, including Plan Apochromatic objectives
* Water immersion dispenser and incubation system
* Perfect Focus System for drift correction during imaging
* Anti-vibration table with tapped top
* The system must be capable of being controlled by a single software package, with features such as automated image acquisition pipelines and deconvolution tools.
* The contractor must provide a unique item identifier for the delivered items and report the required information, including the unique item identifier, type, and other relevant details.
