The US Army is seeking information on potential sources for an integrated survivable private 5G system with local edge, hybrid cloud, and SATCOM connectivity. The system should be able to provide network connectivity when isolated from the primary network transport and be rapidly deployable. The system must be able to interoperate with legacy radio systems and provide a network connection through attribute-based authentication and physical security. The anticipated users for the system are 131, with an approximate coverage area of a 1km radius. The system should be small enough to be loaded in the bed of a two-seater JLTV and not exceed a four-man lift.
Key features of the system include:
• Ability to provide network connectivity when isolated from the primary network transport
• Rapidly deployable
• Interoperability with legacy radio systems
• Attribute-based authentication and physical security
• Small form factor, with the main system (hub) supporting command posts and the receiver/transmitter devices at the dispersed command post sections (spokes) being small enough to be carried by a soldier
• Ability to provide a network connection through SATCOM and 5G connectivity
