Wireless Network Access Point Upgrade

The Lewisville Independent School District is seeking proposals for a Wireless Network Access Point Upgrade. The selected vendor will be responsible for replacing all existing wireless access points with new access points that are compatible with the existing Cisco 9800 wireless controllers and Cisco DNAC Management System. The new access points must support on-prem management, configuration, and operation without requiring cloud connectivity. The vendor will also provide an Enterprise Agreement to provide all needed licensing, support, and maintenance. Some key features of the project include: • Replacing existing wireless access points with new access points • Configuring new access points to work with existing controllers • Deployment of WPA2+WPA3 on primary SSIDs • Deployment of 6ghz while maintaining 2.4 and 5ghz for legacy devices • Deployment of BLE tag based asset tracking (IoT Services) • Labelling and providing inventory spreadsheets for all AP's • Updating maps to current standards in the DNAC Management System • Adding all AP locations to maps in the DNAC Management System • Post installation verification of AP placements The initial term of the contract will be from April 2026 to April 2029, with a tentative second term from April 2029 to April 2031.
