7E20--Remote Automated Laboratory System Software and Support

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO 21) intends to award a sole source contract to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc. for Remote Automated Laboratory System Software and Support. The VA San Francisco has implemented and utilized the RALS system since at least 2016, and given the proprietary nature of the system, Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Informatics, Inc. is the only firm capable of providing the needed supplies and services. The required items are specialized and unique to the market, and the vendor must be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller to be eligible for participation.
