Metropolitan Water District of Southern California seeks a qualified contractor to operate and manage a full‑service cafeteria at its Union Station Headquarters in Los Angeles. The contractor will be responsible for daily food preparation, service, catering, vending machine management, staff supervision, compliance with health and safety standards, and maintenance of over 130 pieces of kitchen equipment. The contract is a fixed‑price, three‑year agreement with an option for two additional one‑year extensions, and includes a subsidy of up to $6,000 per month on sales revenue. • Operate a 10,350 sq ft cafeteria (≈ 300 seats) serving employees, board members, tenants, and the public. • Provide daily breakfast and lunch menus aligned with U.S. Dietary Guidelines, plus on‑request catering for special events. • Manage vending machines, maintain all listed equipment, and ensure an “A” health rating, with all staff meeting language and experience requirements.
