25-339 Office Moving, Transportation, and Storage Services for DMV Headquarters

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is seeking a contractor to provide office moving, transportation, and storage services for the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento, California. The contractor will be responsible for moving and transporting office furniture and equipment within a 25-mile radius of the DMV Headquarters. The contractor must possess a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued by the California DMV or a valid license issued by the California Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS) for office moves between buildings that involve transportation over public streets and highways. The contractor must also provide experienced movers with knowledge of Modular Systems Furniture (MSF) to identify MSF parts and pieces to be picked up from DMV Headquarters for delivery to project job sites and return them to surplus at DMV Headquarters at the end of the project. Key responsibilities include: • Moving and transporting office furniture and equipment within a 25-mile radius of the DMV Headquarters • Providing experienced movers with knowledge of Modular Systems Furniture (MSF) • Identifying MSF parts and pieces to be picked up from DMV Headquarters for delivery to project job sites • Returning MSF parts and pieces to surplus at DMV Headquarters at the end of the project • Coordinating the delivery of boxes, equipment, and building protection with the DMV Project Manager • Attending a pre-move walk-through to review procedure and document any existing damage to the facility, furniture, or equipment to be moved
