Degraded Visual Environment System (DVES)

The United States Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources for Degraded Visual Environment System (DVES) solutions for the HH-60W fleet. The Sources Sought Notice seeks information on industry capabilities for Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD), Test & Evaluation (T&E), Full Rate Production (FRP), retrofit installation, and training device modifications related to DVES integration. The notice excludes the requirement for a Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) and focuses on a rapid and affordable acquisition of a baseline DVE capability. • The DVES solution should be integrated to the maximum extent practical with the existing HH-60W's Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) architecture. • The solution should demonstrate its ability to meet the required Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL). • The solution should operate effectively in the military environment and integrate with the specified military avionics architecture. • Commercial systems with FAA/EASA certifications will be considered, but must meet all specifications outlined in the solicitation.
