The US Air Force is seeking sources to acquire a redundant secondary crash notification system for Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama. The system must meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements for airfield operations and provide features such as multiline call recording, selective single and mass station calling, and support for fiber infrastructure. The contractor will be responsible for providing all project management services, design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and testing of the system. The contract will also require the contractor to provide a project completion test plan, submittal sheets for approval, and final documentation.
Key features of the system include:
• Multiline call recording for an audio record of all conversations
• Selective single and mass station calling dependent on emergency/non-emergency situations
• Support for fiber infrastructure to operate over current infrastructure
• Ability to initiate sirens, strobes, and bay doors to provide visual/audio indicators
• A module which provides the key interfaces and functions to end equipment (Public Address (PA)/Radio, Audio entry Point, Voice Operated Transmit (VOX), etc.)
• System is completely independent from both the Telephone Communications Switch and the Maxwell AFB Network
