The City of Wilmington seeks a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of its municipal backflow preventer inventory, ensuring compliance with local water authority regulations.
• Approximately 208 backflow preventers city‑wide must be inventoried, tested, inspected, and maintained annually.
• Contractor must provide same‑day emergency response, complete repairs in one visit when possible, and submit detailed reports (paper and electronic) within one week of each inspection cycle.
• Quarterly inspection schedules require City approval; all work must adhere to OSHA standards, insurance requirements, and MBE/DBE participation policies.
• Contract term is one year (July 1 2026 – June 30 2027) with two optional one‑year extensions, and includes provisions for annual CPI‑based price adjustments.
