RFI LOUNGE SEATING

The Federal Prison Industries (FPI) is seeking information from potential suppliers for a 5-year agreement to purchase component parts for lounge seating. The goal is to expand the vendor list and increase market awareness and participation by relevant and capable suppliers. The RFI aims to gather information on industry standard lead times, economic price increases, and ordering quantities. The FPI wants to collaborate with industry partners to structure a future Request for Proposal (RFP) that will ensure a competitive and fair process. • The FPI is looking for suppliers who can provide a comprehensive lounge style seating line. • The suppliers must demonstrate a record of actual performance or accomplishment in the manufacturing of seating. • The FPI defines lounge seating as fully upholstered units of 1 seat, 2 seat, and 3 seat units, designed and intended to maximize comfort. • The purchase of these materials is to allow UNICOR inmate workers to assemble products and produce finished office furniture products to sell to the Federal Government.
