Description
The State of South Carolina is seeking a qualified contractor to provide charter‑bus transportation services for South Carolina State University’s marching band and athletic programs. The contractor must supply clean, “like‑new” motor coaches that meet FMCSA safety standards, accommodate large groups and equipment, and adhere to strict scheduling, pricing, and reporting requirements. Offers are evaluated on the lowest responsible and responsive bid, with a base term of one year and one optional renewal.
• Provide at least eight full‑size motor coaches for the marching band, plus additional buses for various athletic teams.
• Submit daily trip rates (fuel excluded) and quote mileage, fuel surcharges, and dead‑head costs per trip; fuel adjustments tied to EIA diesel prices.
• Meet all FMCSA driver‑qualification, insurance, and safety standards; maintain records for up to five years and respond to itinerary changes within defined timeframes.
