Uniform Laundry Services - Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments

The City of San Mateo is seeking a uniform laundry service provider for its Parks and Recreation and Public Works departments. The selected provider will be responsible for providing uniform rentals, laundry, and maintenance services for City employees. The scope of work includes tasks such as measuring, fitting, and altering uniforms, as well as providing on-time services to each specified City location. The City is proposing to contract these services for three years. Some key requirements for the uniform service provider include: • Providing necessary items such as shirts, pants, coveralls, lab coats, and shop towels • Ensuring proper fit and making necessary alterations • Providing garment control identification and individual tracking for each uniform item • Picking up and delivering uniforms, shop towels, and floor mats on a weekly basis • Cleaning, repairing, and replacing uniforms as needed • Providing a locker bank with 23 slots in the Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance Building • Furnishing new pants, shirts, coveralls, and lab coats for starting inventory • Making necessary alterations of uniforms within 7 calendar days after furnishing the uniforms.
