Medical Physicist Services

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from potential vendors to provide medical physicist services for the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VAMC in Jackson, MS. The services include performing annual inspections and quality assurance exams on x-ray and imaging equipment, including CT, MRI, and radiation therapy devices. The contractor will be required to provide written reports on each device, including an Entrance Exposure Chart, and to review CT protocols for optimization. The contract is expected to be for a base year with four option years. • The contractor must have a certified medical physicist on staff to perform the required services. • The contractor must provide all necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services. • The contractor must comply with all applicable records management laws and regulations. • The contractor must provide written reports on each device, including an Entrance Exposure Chart. • The contractor must review CT protocols for optimization.
