Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources that can provide fully furnished hotel/motel rooms for Veterans as needed. The vendor must directly handle reservations, provide lodging and associated services, including breakfast and shuttle services to the VA facility. The vendor should have support personnel at the site of the hotel/motel to personally and timely interact with Veterans and help to resolve any issues that may arise. Key services include:
* Fully furnished hotel/motel rooms with standard amenities
* Shuttle service to and from the VA facility
* No-cost breakfast
* Support personnel at the hotel to assist with issues and coordinate shuttle services
* Compliance with all city, county, and state building codes and ordinances applicable to the ownership and operation of the building
* Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines
* Smoke-free rooms unless requested otherwise by the beneficiary
* Local telephone service with no deposit required
* Basic television cable service
The contractor will be required to submit an itemized Usage Report to the VA for actual room nights furnished during the month. The report is due by the 15th of the month following the previous month's services.
