26-35-TAP October Shuttle Svcs

The City of Salem is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide a shuttle service during the month of October. The service will operate on weekends and holidays, and will provide roundtrip transportation for visitors from a designated parking lot to Riley Plaza. The contractor will be responsible for providing buses, drivers, and fare collectors, as well as collecting and tracking fares. The city is open to bidder suggestions on pricing, with the goal of covering the costs associated with providing the shuttle service. • The shuttle service will operate on weekends in October from 10AM-8PM, and on Indigenous People’s Day/Columbus Day from 10AM-8PM. • The service will also operate on Halloween Day if it falls on a weekday, with hours to be determined. • The contractor will provide one standard and one accessible bus, as well as on-site fare collectors with equipment to collect and track fares. • The contractor will be responsible for notifying city staff of the capacity of the parking lots and any issues that may arise. • The city will provide a designated bus pickup/drop-off area at Riley Plaza.
