Description
The University of Maryland – College Park seeks a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive technical production services for special events across its campus and regional venues. The contract will commence on June 1 2027 (one‑year term) and requires the contractor to own a baseline inventory of prosumer‑grade audio, video, and lighting equipment, staff a minimum of 10 full‑time employees, and deliver full production (audio, video, lighting, live‑streaming, archiving) for up to 50 events per year. Pricing will be submitted for three hypothetical events; each actual event will be quoted separately. The university may award a single contract or multiple contracts at its discretion.
• Scope: Full‑service AV production (design, engineering, equipment provision, setup, operation, strike, live streaming, archival storage) for special events.
• Minimum staffing: 10 full‑time employees (no subcontracted/freelance staff counted).
• Equipment: Baseline owned prosumer‑grade AV gear; specialty items may be sub‑rented.
• Contract term: Begins June 1 2027, runs for 1 year (through May 31 2028).
• Award: Single or multiple contractors possible; events allocated at university’s discretion.
• Submission: Technical proposal (PDF) + Financial proposal (Excel pricing sheet); all affidavits and addenda required.
• Evaluation: Combination of price competitiveness, transparency, and technical capability; not solely lowest price.
• No guaranteed minimum spend or event count; no MBE subcontracting goal.
