Virtual Autopsy Services

The Ocean County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified vendors to provide 24/7 virtual autopsy (post‑mortem imaging) services for the County Medical Examiner’s Office. The contract is a one‑year term starting January 1 2027, with a requirement that all autopsies be completed within 24 hours of death. Services include limited CT and MRI scans of the head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and a full skeletal survey for children ≤10 years, following ACR guidelines for suspected child abuse. Vendors must submit a single electronic proposal that includes personnel qualifications, licenses, insurance certificates, references, a rate schedule, and a completed vendor questionnaire. Evaluation will be based on qualifications, experience, understanding of scope, proximity to the county, and completeness of the submission. The award will be made within 60 days of receipt, and the contract may be extended or renewed at the County’s discretion.
