The City of Vancouver is seeking a qualified waste‑management service provider to deliver comprehensive waste collection, diversion, and reporting services for roughly 135 City‑owned and operated facilities. The contract will cover provision of containers, regular pickup on defined schedules, on‑board weighing, quarterly reporting, and ongoing performance management, with an emphasis on low‑emission fleet operations and sustainability initiatives. • Scope includes collection of multiple waste streams (garbage, organics, recyclables, soft plastics, metals, etc.) across varied container types (2‑YD to 96‑GAL totes, compactors, roll‑offs). • Supplier must supply equipment, maintain calibrated scales, submit quarterly diversion reports, and support climate‑friendly practices such as route optimization and alternative‑fuel vehicles. • Contract term is a minimum three‑year period, with up‑to‑two optional two‑year renewals (maximum seven years), and requires compliance with City Fair‑Wage, insurance, and Indigenous/supplier‑diversity policies.
