Description
The City of Gallup is seeking a temporary 10 MVA mobile substation to support its electrical system due to a failure at the Sunshine Substation. The selected vendor will be required to furnish the mobile substation, coordinate delivery and installation, provide technical support, and ensure safe removal and demobilization once permanent substation facilities are energized. The contract term is approximately January 1, 2026, through July 1, 2026, or until the permanent Sunshine Substation equipment is installed and the mobile substation is safely removed. Key aspects of the scope of work include:
• Furnish a temporary 10 MVA mobile substation capable of supporting the City’s electrical system
• Coordinate delivery, installation, and electrical integration with the City of Gallup Electric Department and PNM switching operations
• Provide technical support and operational coordination during the rental period
• Support safe removal and demobilization once permanent substation facilities are energized
