Description
The City of New London is seeking a single prime contractor to operate, maintain, and market Ocean Beach Park for a five‑year term. The vendor must provide full‑service facilities management (cleaning, maintenance, utilities, capital‑improvement planning), develop and execute year‑round event programming, create a branding/marketing strategy, handle staffing, financial budgeting, and community‑stakeholder relations, while complying with local regulations and insurance requirements. The contract will be awarded in November 2025, with work commencing shortly thereafter and continuing through at least September 2026 to avoid service interruption.
• Facilities operations & preventive maintenance of all park buildings, beach, boardwalk, equipment, and utilities.
• Event‑management services including scheduling, staffing, security, lifeguards, food‑service coordination, and compliance with noise ordinances.
• Marketing, branding, and revenue‑development initiatives to increase attendance and off‑season income.
• Financial planning, monthly profit‑and‑loss reporting, and preparation of a five‑year budget and capital‑improvement plan.
• Full responsibility for insurance, staffing, training, and community‑relations (steering committee, beautification group).
