Description
The City of Oroville is seeking proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide professional engineering and consulting services related to the evaluation, planning, design, permitting, and construction support for the City’s sanitary sewer system. The selected Consultant will assist in various current and future sanitary sewer projects under a Professional Services Agreement. The scope of work includes tasks such as project management, existing conditions assessment, conceptual design and alternatives analysis, final design and construction documents, and bidding and construction support.
• Evaluation of existing lift station configurations and identifying appropriate upgrade alternatives
• Field investigation and hydraulic evaluation necessary to develop design alternatives
• Design and incorporation of permanent lift station bypass piping and valve systems to enable uninterrupted service during maintenance or emergency events
• Replacement of aging centrifugal pumps and any appurtenant mechanical or electrical upgrades
• Assessment and design of safety and access improvements for maintenance staff, including any necessary structural modifications
• Preparation of cost estimates for all alternatives
• Preparation of detailed design and construction documents
• Preparation of phased construction plans and/or temporary bypass piping to maintain continuous sewer service
