NOTICE OF FLOOD ENCROACHMENT & INTENT TO BEGIN ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES: Moose Creek Bridge and Moose Creek

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is announcing its intent to begin engineering and environmental studies for the reconstruction of the Moose Creek Bridge on Petersville Road (MP 7.0). The project aims to restore safe, reliable transportation across Moose Creek, upgrade the bridge to current structural, hydraulic, and safety standards, and address minor floodplain encroachments. Scope of work includes bridge reconstruction, road surface lifting, paving, roadway realignment, shoulder improvements, signing and striping, roadside hardware, brush clearing, drainage features, embankment protection, and stream channelization.
