Description
The NASA/NSSC is seeking a Fourier-transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR) with a MultiTect unit. The FTIR should have the capability to cover the electromagnetic range from UV-VIS-IR, allowing for full versatility of the new instrument. The specific capabilities of the instrument are defined based on the experimental procedures in place. The standard spectral range covers 8,000 to 350cm-1 with various options for spectral range extension. The FTIR will be used to perform N-Mid-IR spectroscopic studies of solids/liquids/gases at a variety of temperatures and pressures. The deliverables include the FTIR, which will be delivered to the Hot Environments Lab at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The period of performance will begin immediately after the award is made.

• MIR-KBr beamsplitter (T303/IX)
• Automatic beam splitter exchange unit, upgradeable for up to 3 beam splitters
• Room temperature DLaTGS detector (D301/M) installed on multi detector unit
• High power IR source
• Aperture wheel with 13 positions
• Validation wheel with 8 positions
• OPUS/IR software package
• BPAD ATR Polymer Library, 234 spectra (of 117 polymers) recorded with diamond and Germanium-ATR technique
