CRP 5907 Alternative Alignment Study - Orting Valley East Corridor

Pierce County is soliciting qualifications from firms to provide a complete corridor study for an alternative roadway alignment between South Hill and SR 162. The study will evaluate feasible corridor alternatives, identify environmental and engineering constraints, and recommend a preferred alignment. The selected consultant will partner with Pierce County's Communications team to develop a public engagement plan and implement public outreach efforts. The project is currently funded with local County Road Funds, but federal funding is anticipated in the future. • The project involves a multidisciplinary evaluation of arterial roadway alignments • The study will include traffic analyses, geotechnical considerations, environmental review, and right-of-way acquisition • The consultant will provide a comprehensive organizational chart and identify key personnel • The consultant will develop a public engagement plan and implement public outreach efforts • The project has an estimated value of $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 • The initial contract period is anticipated to be 24 months with an option to renew for an additional three years
