Description
The Town of Putney, VT is requesting a qualified consulting firm to conduct a comprehensive wage and salary survey, analyze its current compensation structure, and provide recommendations to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness. The consultant will work closely with town officials, conduct market research, and deliver a final compensation study with a proposed salary structure. Proposals are due September 18, 2026, with work expected to start Oct 1, 2026 and finish by the end of Dec 2026.
• Review existing job descriptions, wage schedules, benefit plans, and personnel policies.
• Conduct regional labor‑market analysis of public and private sector positions.
• Recommend changes to classification system or design a new compensation structure.
• Deliver a written final report and presentation to the Selectboard.
• Optionally propose annual market‑review updates and on‑demand job‑grading pricing.
• Required deliverables include analysis methodology, data tables, and a final salary structure document.
