Description
The California Department of Justice is procuring IT Lean Coaching services to support its Firearms Information Technology Systems Modernization (FITSM) effort. The contractor must provide at least one full‑time and one part‑time Lean Coach who will analyze, redesign, and standardize fourteen high‑priority firearms‑related business processes, deliver process maps, value‑stream analyses, a Lean implementation roadmap, and train a minimum of fifteen DOJ staff on Lean/Six‑Sigma methods. Work is primarily remote with a required monthly in‑person meeting in Sacramento and must be performed under a fixed‑price, 12‑month base contract (with up to two 12‑month extensions).
• Minimum staffing: 1 full‑time (≈200 hrs/mo) and 1 part‑time (≈75 hrs/mo) IT Lean Coach.
• Required certifications: Lean Bronze (or higher) and Yellow Belt (or higher); Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Deliverables include As‑Is/To‑Be process inventories, Lean opportunity assessments, implementation roadmaps, standardized workflows, metric frameworks, weekly status reports, and final sustainment report.
• Contractor must hold a current California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS) contract and provide all required certifications, references, and background‑check documentation.
