Mechanical Services - Heavy Equipment

The Boone County Purchasing Department is seeking bids for a Term and Supply contract for mechanic services to heavy equipment and trucks. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for three one-year periods. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation services, and supervision to perform mechanic repair services to various heavy equipment and trucks for the Boone County Road & Bridge Department. The contractor must have at least three years of experience in the type of work outlined in the specifications and must provide references. The contract will be awarded to the bidder who provides the greatest value to the County, considering factors such as suitability to purpose, quality, service, previous experience, price, lifecycle cost, and ability to deliver. • The contractor must provide a written quotation for major non-emergency repairs, detailing parts and labor charges, within three business days. • The contractor must provide emergency road service calls for the County's heavy equipment and truck fleet. • The contractor must guarantee all work performed under the contract for a minimum period of 90 calendar days. • The contractor must maintain insurance, including workers' compensation, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability insurance. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
