Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive testing, inspection, maintenance, repair, and replacement of approximately 208 backflow preventers across the municipality. The work includes inventory verification, annual testing per state and utility regulations, same‑day emergency response, detailed reporting (both paper and electronic), coordination of quarterly inspection schedules, and full compliance with safety, insurance, and minority‑business participation requirements. The contract is for one year with two optional one‑year extensions, and the contractor must provide all labor, parts, and documentation needed for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Perform annual testing and inspection of every listed backflow device (≈208 units).
