Description
Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is seeking a vendor to install, operate, and maintain snack‑only vending machines across multiple campus locations. The contractor must supply machines that accept cash, credit/debit cards, and contact‑less mobile payments, meet healthy‑vending criteria, and provide routine service with a 24‑hour response time for malfunctions. The base contract runs from December 1 2026 through September 30 2030 with a possible one‑year extension, and the vendor is responsible for all installation, utilities, insurance, and ongoing replenishment costs. Compensation will be based on a commission or flat fee derived from gross sales, reported quarterly.
• Install and manage 15+ snack‑vending machines at specified buildings (e.g., Ackerman Hall, Badgley Hall, HUB, Library, etc.).
• Machines must meet “Healthy Vending” standards (≥15 % low‑calorie, low‑sodium, trans‑fat‑free items) and include clearly marked gluten‑free, vegan, and nut‑free slots.
• Provide cash‑refund procedures, 24‑hour repair response, quarterly sales reporting, and quarterly commission payments.
• No cold‑beverage or refrigerated items; payment methods limited to cash, credit/debit, and contactless mobile.
• Contract term ~4 years with a possible 1‑year extension; vendor bears all operational costs, insurance, and compliance with Oregon electrical/permits.
