Description of goods to services to be bid: The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) seeks proposals from firms to perform Environmental MonitoringSupport Services for NYSERDA’s West Valley Site Management Program at the Western New York Nuclear Service Center near West Valley,New York. The objectives of this solicitation are to secure the services of a highly qualified firm experienced in handling hazardous and/orradioactive material to provide the services, expertise, and equipment needed to implement and support the West Valley Site ManagementProgram’s (WVSMP) Environmental Monitoring Program. The scope of work which includes the following activities:- groundwater monitoring- groundwater and radioactive/hazardous trench leachate elevation measurements- surface water monitoring- stormwater monitoring- environmental radiation dosimetry monitoring- low-level radioactive waste disposal services- Monitoring well maintenance- Monitoring equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration- support services for health and safety and emergency response If changes are made to this solicitation notification will be posted on NYSERDA’s website at:www.nyserda.ny.gov/funding-opportunities Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences: Proposers should have experience in conducting environmental monitoring at hazardous waste sites and/or closed landfills and working withradioactive materials. Proposers should have experience providing high quality reports, including statistical analyses, for the data resulting frommonitoring efforts. Personnel performing activities will have up to date Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER)training in accordance Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.120 and where warranted training that is incompliance with Department of Transportation regulations, Title 49, Part 172, Subpart H for packaging and transportation of hazardous materials.
