Taxi Services - Birmingham VA Medical Center

The Birmingham VA Medical Center is seeking to purchase taxi services for discharged patients. The contract period of performance is from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2031. The contractor shall provide transportation by taxi service for up to 500 one-way trips annually. The contractor shall provide transportation services seven days per week, including holidays, twenty-four hours per day, for the term of this contract. • The contract type is Firm Fixed Price with Economic Price Adjustment. • The contractor must ensure that pickups and drop-offs are routed to result in the most economical charges to the Government. • The contractor will provide transport for beneficiaries to their residence or a family home within a 125-mile radius of the Birmingham VA Medical Center. • The contractor must meet all the requirements of Federal, State, or City codes regarding operations of this type of service.
