Description

The City of Issaquah is seeking a consulting firm to complete the 100% design of an electric vehicle charging station project at Tibbetts Valley Park. The project includes the installation of four dual-port chargers, electric vehicle-only parking signs, conduits, conductors, junction boxes, and connection to the existing electrical service switchboard. The selected firm will also support the development of the installation contract. Key services include engineering design, project management, and permit compliance. • The project is funded by a grant from the Department of Commerce Electric Vehicle Charging Program and Puget Sound Energy's Transportation Emissions Reduction matching grant program. • The project schedule includes a notice to proceed in June 2026, with completion of the design and installation by June 2027. • The City encourages DBE firms to submit qualifications and encourages all firms to team with DBE firms in their pursuit of this project. • The City incorporates sustainability principles into its procurement practices, seeking to minimize negative environmental and social equity impacts. • The selected firm will be required to execute the City's standard contract form and provide a Certificate of Insurance with endorsement pages naming the City of Issaquah as additional insured.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this project is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that it's a government-funded project, the estimated budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate takes into account the costs of designing and installing four dual-port electric vehicle chargers, as well as the costs of project management, engineering services, and other related expenses. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the project and the rates of the selected consulting firm.
