Description
The State Historical Society of North Dakota is seeking a qualified vendor to design, fabricate, deliver, and install archival steel shelving systems throughout the State Archives facility, and to relocate existing map‑case units. The contract is firm‑fixed‑price, limited to $252,355, and runs for roughly 11 months, beginning in late May 2026. The work includes site verification, layout drawings, manufacturing of static steel shelving (including heavy‑duty sections and lockable cabinets), delivery, installation, and relocation of current cases, with all required documentation and warranties.
• Provide static, non‑mobile steel shelving with adjustable heights, load ratings up to 300 lb per shelf, and bolt‑less, free‑standing construction.
• Conduct on‑site measurements, submit layout drawings for State review, fabricate units (Aug‑Dec 2026), deliver by 31 Jan 2027, and install/relocate by March 2027.
• Meet minimum qualifications: ≥ 5 years experience in commercial steel shelving, 4 comparable projects, ND contractor licensing, and required insurance limits.
