Fire Protection Services- Fire Safety Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Services

The County of Santa Cruz is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive fire protection services, including inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler systems, and kitchen hood suppression systems. The contractor will be required to provide services at various County facilities, and must have the necessary licenses, certifications, and experience to perform the work. The contract is expected to be for a term of 3 years, with the option for the County to terminate or extend the contract as needed. Key considerations for the contractor will include the ability to provide timely and effective services, to maintain accurate records and reports, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • Fire extinguisher services: annual inspection, testing, and maintenance • Fire sprinkler and riser services: annual inspection, testing, and maintenance, as well as five-year inspections • Kitchen hood suppression services: semi-annual inspection and maintenance • Scheduling and notifications: providing a transparent and centralized system for tracking inspection frequencies and scheduling • Corrective and out-of-scope services: performing repairs and maintenance as needed, with prior County authorization
