Description
The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) is seeking proposals from qualified cellular/wireless telecommunication service providers to furnish voice, data, and messaging services. The selected respondent will be required to provide services in accordance with the solicitation and the contract. The scope of work includes four main service categories: mobile voice, data, and messaging services for agency staff, mobile connectivity for field-based and remote personnel, operational continuity, emergency response, and business-critical communications, and mobile devices and data-enabled equipment deployed at administrative offices, field locations, and remote work sites throughout the State.
• The initial contract term will be one year from the effective date of the contract.
• There are three optional one-year renewal terms.
• The respondent must be a facilities-based mobile network operator that owns and operates its own FCC licensed wireless spectrum and radio access network.
• The respondent must provide native network coverage to at least 95% of the U.S. population.
• Resellers and mobile virtual network operators are ineligible to respond.
